drivetrain is no problem. people use car cv axles all the time in dune buggies. personally i would use a motorcycle engine. they're smaller and just as powerful. also manual=win

The power to weight ratio, as well as the physical bulk of a geo metro engine makes it a poor choice for a powerplant.

The only way I would use one would be if I already had one, couldn't sell it, and couldn't afford a bike engine. Even then, I'd probably save up for a while to get a bike engine.

I'd just use the geo metro itself as a go kart in that case.

I'd cut up the geo metro, and make a 1 seater buggy, and reinforce the crap out of that thing.

Geo only makes like 46 HP stock. Unless your these guy's who nitrous the crap out of it on a dyno and blow the engine to peice's.

I would use it on the road as a metro, 45+mpg highway FTW.
