Default Trading Club Car clutch system for a Comet 40 Series

I have this massive Club Car torque converter clutch system (Driver unit, Driven unit and belt) that'll drive you up a wall but I have a space issue on my kart and would like to trade it for a Comet 40 series which is more compact, even though that means sacrificing some performance . Any one interested let me know, if you don't have a 40 series to trade for I'll let it be yours for $175 plus whatever shipping is for your location.

You don't need a torque converter with a GX390

Well, I do know that the GX390 has plenty of torque (about 26ft/lbs) but what do you sugest to get that torque to the wheels and ultimately to the ground?

The GX390 actually makes 18.5 FT/LBS @ 2500 RPM. 26 FT/LBS would be some pretty serious power. Just buy two of these tire's and you'l never spin.

To the OP, I have a Comet 40 series belt (#203791) that is almost brand new. I got it with my set up, and it is too long for my needs. I'll give it to you for $20.

Well I just researched that belt and It doesn't fit my kart neither , I have to go with a 203792A (10-1/4 long) or a 203788A (9-3/4 long) which is my preferred one.

Thank you very much any way for your interest in helping me.

LOL, you're right I would need a V8 to be able to spin those...

A buddy of mine had this clutch on his go kart that has a 5hp Briggs & Stratton with a 3/4 shaft, he gave it to me for a spare motor (6.5 hp tecumseh) that I had sitting in my garage. At first I thought I was going to be able to make it fit on my go kart but there's just not enough space. The clutch is being auctioned on E bay, thanks for your interest!!.
