Default off road and racing lawn mower build

ok so may be a mounth ago i was given a john deer lawn mower from my uncle it was sitting in his shed and i took it home aired the tires up and put a different gas tank on it cause the old one needed cleaning and fuel lines and i had it runing but the pto pulley was messed up so the blades wouldnt turn so i took it off(i was planning on doing that any ways)and got some new gas lines and after cleaning the tank it ran it has a 13hp kholer command on it which seems to be preety good scince the carb is really messed up and lets to much gas in it some times and to littel in other times so it goes dead and it was reving some times really high so i have to fix that but now it has like a 5in pulley on the front stock on the back for now and i was getting like 15mph out of it

there it is with some bigger tires on it but its gonna be like a redneck racer so its gonna be lowered with some 12in tires on the back sock on the front and a solid front end i want it to go like 30 so i can rip up and down the roads and fields and race my brother and frends so i want it to be fineshed being like as low asthe back will be with the small tire so it may hay 4in of clear ance on the transmsion i want it to have like a 6in on the motor and a 3in on the transmsion im not gonna put the money in a peerless rear engine rider transmsion cause itll be as low as i want it with the tires im trying to keep it salf so ill have a tether kill swith and a hand thortal cause the clutch is on the right hand side so it has to be on the hanndel bars now ohh i for got it has a 5 speed spicer for the transmsion

i also like a week latter took our lawn mower we cut grass with and am now making a off roader out of it cause the deck rusted out in it i first removed the deck hears it with the deck off

as you can see its a rear engine rider murray its got a 11hp briggs that runs good today and wont tommorow it has a peerlaess 5 speed now you may wonder why would i off road with a peerless and make a racer out of a spicer well cause the peerless is and rear engine and has noooooooooooooooo wheaight on the front end i can pop wheeleys with it its so bad and we do have a race track by me and when i pull up with that one every one would drop down lafing and second i couldnt race for liabillate .it didnt go fast then and got stuck alot being stock of corse it would tho. i put a smaller gas tank cause the old one leaked i all so took all the wiring i can start it by toching a bolt to the colonde cause it went out a while back so to kill it i choke it down i have a switch for it im gonna put on it all so i have to rig up the all ter nator and dont no how i need some help now i took tires off my craftsmen lt1000 which they are 20s thats a huge upgrade but the front tires arent the same spinndel soi cant put bigger tires on the front end yet cause of it im gonna get a bigger front end for it soon i would love to finish this buy pulley swaping it which im doing soon locking the transmsion but dont really want to cause im scared i might mess up and may be snorkel it i all ready have a bumper and gas peddel i all so welded up a higher up traler hitch causes i HATE the look off stuff when i tow with it and the tung hits the ground all most ill take a picture off it with me towing somthing soon ill update when i do somthig to one off them
here it is with the new tires and the back ones on the front

heres how it is now

Love these mower mods. If I was not deep in projects I would want to build one. Another Bar Stool is calling my name as well.

A family friend has one behind his barn I been looking at. It's a older tractor style with horizonal shaft.

Is there no charging system on your engine? Best bet is to locate OEM parts for the engine and do it that way...

Every engine is different so, try google for a wiring diagram

Wait a minute- do you mean, alternator as in "external device, automotive", or do you mean the engine's own internal charging coil? BIG difference.

Umm, not per se- But the term "alternator" is rarely- if ever- used to describe the charging coil on a small engine. Hence the confusion.

True, it's more commonly referred to as a stator
