Default My go kart almost completed

all we have to now is run some wires and put on the diamond plate. the reason why its not painte don the top is so the heavy duty truck glue can stick to bare steel. Here is some pictures that might help out some people. All the stuff was all made by us including the spindles and steering comonents which turned out very nice.

Man that thing is sexy! Gives me some ideas to make mind not all crappy! What benefit does a torque converter have over a clutch?

that things looks sweet. I WANT updates on the steering. Tell me about shake, handling, etc. I stopped recommending home-made tie rods (though I've made one with them) but I want to hear the results!!!

You get low-end power while still being able to have a decent top end. It adjusts itself as you drive depending on the needs. If you need power, you get power, if you don't, you get speed.

With a torque converter and a 72 tooth sporcket on the rear I can climb walls with this thing! I can park it in a ditch and get out with a bit of thottle.

And the tie rods where copied off this site. And You know the hollow tubing that the 3/4 axle is welded onto? There is virtually NO slop in there. Our half inch bolt measurres .495 or somthing like that and the tubing meausures .500. Talk about getting lucky at the steel shop!. Even at high speeds I have no wobble in this kart. Its VERY safe. It turns like a dream it feels like driving a real car. Its going to look even better when we glue down the diamond plate and run the wiring. We have head lights to put on and guess what? We are putting on neon underglow! Not the tube type but you just stick on these little pod things with 4 Very bright led's in them and they look sick!
