Default Modified bar stool racer build

Alright well here we go. I have decided to take all the parts of my go kart and build up a modified bar stool racer.

The plans i will be using will be these......http://barflyracerplans.com/pro-street-cruiser.htm..

BUT!! i will not be using a barstool. i will be making my own seat.

The seat and the overall frame should end up looking soething like this

After building my go kart i have learned alot of things that i plan on changing when building this. Hopefuly this project will take no more than a few months...

Nooooooo......!! You have just got your kart finished and painted, and now you are going to tear it apart for a barstool racer?? You cant really enjoy a barstool racer like you can a kart. I have no problem with barstool racers, but I wouldn't scavenge parts off my kart to get one build.

Why don't you save up some money, and then you can have both in running order?

I'm gonna have to totally disagree with landuse on this one for one reason only..... Can I have your go kart? Like the frame with the suspension.lol on a more serious note yeah a barstool would be cool. U Should make it offroad with a arms in the front and the seat on lilke a pivot with suspension.

But seriously, lemme get yo frame?

how do i say this..... like i said in my earlier thread, go karts used to be so fun to me, but after driving them for three years( i have another one) it got old to me. All along atv type style has always excited me. I know it may seem stupid that i am tearing it apart...but i mean i wanted something new and exciting.

also...... there were alot of things i did wrong on my go kart
that i want to change and fix on this build. and for me if i really wanted to drive it again i mean i could always buy new parts and put it back on there...

so i now alot of you disagree, but understand that for me... i just wanted to try something new

seriously, build a mini bike! a whole different riding experience, cheaper too. Fix your kart, or build a new frame and transfer all the parts (that's what i'm doing). once you fix your kart it will be awesome. if you want to build a bar stool racer with suspension, minus the bar stool, you pretty much have an ATV.

r97 i couldent agree more with the dirt bike thing.... but if yoy read my other post you would have seen that my parents wont let me build one cause they think they are to dangerous.

and basically if it turns out looking like ant atv great!!!!! my rents diident figure that out.

and j. concepcion54321 i would give you the frame but it cost a frik load to make and its kinda something i can show of like.... " ibuilt that" self accomplishment if you get what i mean

Are your parents just against 2 wheel things? a 20mph mini bike with some simple suspension isn't as dangerous as a full dirt bike, but still a ton of fun. Also, i will point out if your parents wont let you ride an ATV, i kinda doubt they will let you ride that bar stool racer thing.

when you make your foot pegs. Make them so you can hook your foot under them. This will let you lean into corners. Your toe needs to grab something. I was thinking old school ten speed stirups things to slide your foot into.

Also try to make a bar that your knees can lock onto. On a stool your knees and foot has no grip. You just go flying and have to take turns slow. If you had a hook for your foot you can get into corners without doing face plants. If your knee has something to grab then even better.

Bar stools are so short so easy to get to much weight on the back axle. Whatch that close in your build.
