Default Found a Murray Kilowatt, what's a fair price?

I found a Murray Kilowatt locally. Pretty rare on the west coast it seems.

It has a new Predator 212 and torque converter. 21" front tires, new big rear knobbies. Disc brake works find, 5 point harness and a new fiberglass seat. Steering has a tiny bit of slop but perfectly usable. Frame has some rust but not enough to affect the structure, and the shocks are all spring with no damping (rear reservoir shocks lost their res'es).

The gent wants $900 and is very firm. As much as I'd like to pick up a Kilowatt, it seems a bit much.

I'm open to comments. I'm not a big negotiating type, but I offered $700 with no joy. Wished him well with his sale after that.

Yeah wow, $900 is way too much. $700 is still too much.
I'd say $400 at the most.

I figure $100 for the motor, $100 for the TC, $100 for tires, maybe $100 for the seat/belts. Couple hundred for the frame. And that's being pretty generous since it's all used now.

Oh well.....he knows my number. :/

That's way too much actually.
Considering how much karts get abused, a used kart should not be worth that much simply due to wear and tear.

Rolling frame with good tires. $250. Predator and torque converter $150. Agreed...$400...$500 max if it’s something that really appeals to you for whatever reason.

And keep in mind the reason why it's $250 for a rolling frame is because it has suspension, big tires, nice seat, etc.
A little single seater yard kart is worth less generally, with my suggested price for a full runner at about $200.

I've been eyeing these in particular because it's a proper suspension kart, where the engine is on the frame, not unsprung weight. No need for two seats here. I'm just a 36 year old big kid who likes to go fast and tear up dirt.

Kilowatts seem to be more rare on the West Coast for some reason. It's a big, pretty heavy kart compared to my cage-less Invader. A full 48" wide, 7' long. Very stout, stiff frame from what I could tell.
