I've been looking into getting some better tires, though I'm not quite sure where to look for that kind of information. The drive ratio is off and something we are going to work on. We thought that sprocket was going to be bigger

Wiring question: Do I have to have a solenoid in order to use the lawn mower ignition switch? All of the wiring diagrams show a solenoid between the battery and switch. I was going to place the kill switch between the battery and switch, but wanted to double check.

You need a solenoid for the starter, yes. But you would need that regardless of the ignition switch.

I apologize for keeping you all waiting. We recently moved and work has been taking up a lot of time. The kart is about 90% complete, and has been that way for several months. Still need to finish up the wiring and drive chain. I'm hoping to work on it some in the coming weeks!

I may have missed this, but are you using the original carb?

I am. I've thought about switching it to a dual carb setup. I have the factory throttle setup right now, but I'm not very comfortable with it since it's the factory bracket from the Zero-Turn. If you have any ideas that world be awesome!
