Small update. I ordered a 44c Magnum Driver and a 40 series (7.5”) Driven for the Baja. This should be more than adequate for my power level.

I need to start looking into a 7/8 twist throttle that is compatible with the mikuni throttle cable. A tumb throttle would be fine too.

Forgot to update. The Baja returned from powdercoating. I should start making progress again as soon as I finish the yerfdog 30032.

Small update. Progress has been slow due to the mini bike projects. Engine is just about ready. Headstuds are in and head is torqued down along with sidecover. Upgraded coil installed and gap set. Tomorrow Iíll throw on the pullstart and heat shielding. Waiting on some champion rocker arms and she should be good to go.

The engine for the Murder Baja is alive!! It’s been sitting for a while waiting on me to do the rockers and lash. I did that yesterday and today slapped a genuine vm22 Mikuni on. Details below.

Predator Non Hemi Engine
Mod2 cam
Hemi flat top piston
Arc +.040 rod
Ported/polished head, shaved .030
Champion rockers
Chromoly 5.160 pushrods
MSD coil wire
Govenor gear removed from crankshaft
Vm22 mikuni
Arc Billet Low Drag Speedway Flywheel
Side cover studs
Burris Racing Head Studs
Modified stock valve cover to clear rockers

Carb is untuned with factory 100 main and 30 pilot still. The pilot should be close. The main will be way off. It idles very well and moving the slide rpms raise smooth.

Now time to build one for the Baja Warrior. Warrior build will essentially be the same as above but with a larger 265 camshaft.

Excuse the garage mess

No worries about the mess.
I made quite the mess installing my Raptor rod!
Compared to mine, you're doing a high tech engine build!
