Default I can't remove my flywheel no matter what I do.

Hello. I have a predator 212 and I'm trying to add an 8 degree advanced timing key and I can't get my flywheel off. I have tried banging my crank and using pressure from a screwdriver on the flywheel and even bought a puller and nothing is working.

Brycen, Have you been able to remove the flywheel? I seem to have the same problem- I tried to wedge the flywheel out with a few screwdrivers from all sides and banged on the crank nut with a hammer, but to no avail.

I have all the other parts off, including the piston and con rod. Is there another way to remove the flywheel from the other side?

Thanks in advance!

Just finished taking off a flywheel. I use a 2.5lb rubber mallet and a pry bar. Engine with crank facing down, sides supported but crank free floating. It takes a few whacks before it frees up.

Anybody ever think to try a flywheel puller?
