Default 2002 Phantom Banshee Oval Race Kart

SOLD

IM LOCATED NEAR TAMPA, FLORIDA 33596

Asking $500obo or...
Willing to trade for ANY non-Chinese 250cc+ Fourwheeler, ATV, Quad whatever you want to call it i don't care about the condition just that it has a running or close to running engine and all parts are there.(I'm considering tearing the engine out and using the shocks a-arms rear axle assembly for a go kart build)

Bought this kart whole minus brakes for $900 there are grinding marks where the motor mount is because the person i bought it from decided to weld one of those tractor supply mounts for some reason.

Aesthetic wise it needs some tlc but nothing more than a good paint job.

Also im including a practically brand new billet aluminum motor mount, along with maxxis tires mounted on, two of the tires wont inflate though but all of them have dry cracks and should be replaced

The brake caliper needs to be replaced they are rusted and seized beyond rebuilding but i have a brand new master cylinder.

If you want I will include the rolling cart stand that i bought the kart with but it isn't very well built in my opinion. This kart is a great race kart it's true and sound, if you have any other questions feel free to message me or comment.

COME TEST DRIVE IT!!! i will ask for money or trade in hand prior though for obvious reasons...
Whats included:
-Billet Aluminum Motor mount
-Seat Struts
-Full Set of Dirt Racing Tires
-Rolling Kart Stand
-Wheel hubs
-Steering Components
-200cc Box stock racing engine
-complete rear axle
-new bearing cassettes
-Fiberglass Oval Track Seat
-Pedals
-EXTRA-valve springs, rocker arms, emulsion tube, main jet, butterfly valve, brake fittings!
-Brake components(calipers are gone but ill include them anyway)
-I will be buying new hardware for the wheel hubs, bumper, and seat struts.

Well this isn't a shifter kart but i'd assume it's either to shorten wheelbase or for balance because this is an oval kart the frame geometry is also very asymmetrical along with wider tires on the right side but i'm sure someone will come across this post and actually know what their talking about. haha

Common mistake. Not all race karts are "shifter" karts. I would go so far as to suggest that MOST race karts are not "shifter" karts. A "shifter" kart has a multi-speed transmission (as part of a motorcycle-type engine/tranny combo.)

And now, back to your regularly-scheduled ad.

Its all about balance and weight distribution. Oval karts are generally made to turn one direction. so having the engine on the opposite side helps.
