Default 420 and 428 chain

Alright so I am building a drift trike with a xr80 and i have a 420 chain. I found a sprocket that would fit my build but its a 428 sprocket! So here's my question. Does a 420 chain fit on a 428 sprocket? Thank you

Default

NO!

the 428 is slightly wider and uses bigger rollers, the chain will stick on the sides and the "too small" roller will eat away the sprocket prematurely

Find a #41 sprocket since apart from the 420 having a beefier pin #41 and 420 are identical,
so any #41 chain fits a 420 sprocket and vice versa.
