Default Yerf throttle cable!

Switching over to a ex17 Subaru on my Yerf dog. Well there are two issues

1. The end of the cable has a barrel on the end, and throttle lever has no way to attatch a cable like that.

2. The cable only has 1 inch of available room to move backwards and forwards.

(Neither picture is mine, but just used as a reference, red arrow shows barrel I was speaking if)

Any ideas as to what to do, I know I could buy a new cable, but Iím trying to use what I have. Ideas??

You can get a mountain bike universal length brake cable, cut off the ends and size to length...
Walmart and bicycle shops should have it...

Yes, but still it is too short, does anyone have an idea for a “bracket” of sorts?

Just get a new cable. I have used the ones from the local bike shop, and honestly I think that they're better than the go kart cables that I've used. I can get 8 or 10 ft for $10, and they have a barrel on one end and a mushroom on the other.
