Always wanted a go kart when I was younger, but wasn't in the cards. Now I'm attempting to make up for my parents' mistake!
Just bought a Chinese-made kart from a neighbor who is moving. Make and model of the kart are unknown to me. Anyone out there recognize what this is? I'm fairly handy, however I don't know where to start. Would like to get some more torque to get this up to speed a little quicker. Budget is ~$500 for upgrades. Any direction would be much appreciated. Boys range in age from 6-11. Last edited by landuse; 08-07-2019 at 01:12 AM. |

Images down under!!!
Runs just fine. Oil looked to be in good shape but I still changed it. Needs 4 new tires. It's a little difficult to switch to drive and reverse from neutral. It is sluggish and take a while to hit top speed- looking to upgrade to make it quicker out of the gate. |

It’s a buggy/ATV, not a kart. It’s a distinction that needs to be made and reinforced.
I love asking this: how come the guy you bought it from doesn’t know what it is? How come you didn’t ask him? Do you often buy things you know so little about? ![]() ![]() ![]() This subforum is just for introductions and to say hi. That being said, this is probably the least-liked or least visited subforum on the site. You’d get more traction and interest in the main Go Kart Discussion (I should say that’s where we lump together everything with 4 wheels).
