I have a centrifugal clutch on my 11hp honda clone engine. We installed a graded bolt with loctite and the bolt comes loose after a minute of riding down the street. Any ideas on what could be causing this to happen???

It shouldn't move with loctite. Which one are you using? How much are you using? Are you sure you are tightening the bolt enough?

Torque the bolt down using some Loctite #242 blue. Make sure threads (and hole) are clean and dry. A lock washer wouldn't hurt either, but there's no way that should be coming loose.

I am tightening it as much as I can. Maybe the crankshaft was not dry when i installed the bolt with the loctite

How are you holding the crank from rotating while tightening?

There is no place for a pipe wrench anywhere near an engine!

the clutch does not go all the way to the back of the crankshaft, so there is room behind the clutch to hold it with a pipe wrench

Im assuming there is an integral key involved, but I cant see this hanging off there that far as all the way on.
Is all the setscrews backed off before install. Is the key fitting the keyway properly. (like maybe the keyway isnt machined properly)

it has set screws as the key. I am not saying its all the way on, the drum will not go all the way in the shaft, it just gets bolted onto the end of the shaft. The other part of the clutch can go all the way on, but that doesnt make sense to do that.
