I'd guess $800 is a fair price for it if it is fully functional as is. Starts, runs, TC works, stops,....
Make sure you test drive it (bring money or I wouldn't even let you test drive it if it were mine).

that is IF the frame is properly modified..
otherwise that engine will turn that kart into a pretzel in less than a day,
and it's worth what such engine alone would be worth ...

A guy I use to know who was a decent competitive driver, put a hot snowmobile engine on a kart & it darn near killed him.
barely got him to the ER in time before he bled out.

Years ago my younger brother made a go kart from scratch sorta like a Jr Dragster for the dirt , He put my old Artic Cat El Tigre engine on it which was a 500cc Suzuki Twin cylinder twin carb that i had a shop tweak with carb work and weisco pistons , reeds , and a Comet Duster clutch they worked as well , It was a nasty snow machine but way to violent to ride in a go kart, maybe if we had a giant sand pit it would have been ok but nothing with any trees or stuff to hit , You had to point it straight hit the gas and get on the brakes in a instant to avoid hitting stuff.
