To me, my Baja felt more like a mini motorcycle.
After my road trip on the motorcycle, I hopped on the Baja for a ride.

It sure feels like a mini bike now!

Poor thing is probably on a scrap barge in China by now.
That blows. I've had two friends rear ended by cars on the interstate. People just won't pay attention.

Yeah it sucks, especially since it was head on. Just pushed the last piece of glass out of my elbow the other day. Unsure of what I'm gonna get this year. The new Honda Rebel looks nice.

That was awesome! Really a shame it got totaled. I'm looking to get an enduro like that so I can ride around town and up in our mountain roads around here. Plus those bikes get a little better mileage than my 5.7 hemi (around 12 mpg). Also, no insurance needed for bikes here in MT, so riding it will be cheap.

I just found an old beat up Honda trail 90 in my niehbors yard, so maybe I will get that. They are very ugly IMO, but still cool in a wierd way.

I think I was getting about 54mpg on this thing, even with the extra weight. The old enduros are great for longer rides, the longest I did was about 400mi in a day with stops in Macungie and Jim Thorpe. Rode through two torrential downpours. Friend has a Honda XR400 that I rode for a bit and super uncomfortable.

PROA isn't a MC, it's a riding group. HUGE difference.

For the 'Wing I'm getting about 250-280/ tank. Not the best compared to some especially for a 6 gal tank but it's a **** of a lot batter than my buddy's AIH Slammer. 3gal tank and MAYBE gets 60 miles before the wallet gets pulled out again.

I've really been looking into one of the new Scout Sixtys or Roadmasters. I've tried them both and I'm amazed at the torque the lil Indian has. 6th gear @ 35mph it takes off like you were in 2nd.

I'm getting 45mpg. I can't help but wonder how much a windshield affects that.

Then again, whatever it is, I think the bug guts trade off is worth it.

Definitely. And I never ride or let anyone on my bikes without a helmet, nor do I condone riding without one. The windshield is there to protect you from the elements, the Helmet is too keep the road and clothes from being repainted a nice redish hue...

If I wanted a windshield I'd drive a car.

I didn't think much about windshields until I had a wasp get inside my jacket.
It's a real panic at highway speeds with a wasp in your shirt stinging the daylights out of ya!

I know a guy who got one of those to the forehead.
Said the thing shattered and cut him all up.
He had to stop to wipe all the blood out of his eyes.

I almost went down due to a Texas grasshopper to the chest.

When I was younger had a swarm of gnats fill my helmet. I was full of em, in the eyes, ears, nose,...
Glad it wasn't bees.

Wimps...

Try having a Chickadee hit ya dead smack in the face going around a corner at 60mph. It's either grass, ***, or crash at that point. I chose the 1st. I have plenty of bikes without windshields but if the option's there I'll take it. I've also seen some pretty gnarly crashes where the windshield was the cause of death. 3/16" Plexan don't work too well as a cheek bone.

This was the aftermath of a crash I was in May 2015. Going around wide 30* corner at 45-ish and hit a pressure ridge, shock on one side bottomed out and went right into the chunky levee-like rock. 2 broken ribs, shattered helmet, broken ankle, ruptured spleen and 2 cracked vertebrae later I was just peachy. This time last year I was back on it again.

(This is the '81. Looks better not all crashy smashy)
(Again. Not my yard)
