Rap. Ugh. No wonder all them teenagers are so angry. I listen to that, I get all homicidal, too.

I was NOT amused when Aerosmith had Walk This Way polluted a la Run DMC. But I died inside when I heard some rap artist destroy "Kashmir" by Zeppelin. That's one of the seven deadly sins, I'm sure of it.

I'm glad you brought up Airbourne, Tony- I discovered them some time back. Love it! I'ma big fan of the pre-1980, Bon Scott era AC/DC. Who else could pull off a bagpipes part in Rock n Roll?

Given the sound, it's hard to imagine they only formed a decade ago; not bad for a bunch of boys from the Victorian (state of Australia) bush

EDIT: Wow, talk about viral; less than 1.5 hours & we're halfway through page 2. it would seem I hit a sweet spot

My idea of country music- watching a Shania Twain video with the sound muted, and the Allman Brothers playing on the stereo...

True! Now, it does look somewhat like they are trying to cash in on AC/DC, but I still like what they got. And that video (no Way But The Hard Way) makes me smile every time.

All good choices. But how about the most reconised group who never seemed to hit it big? (Carlos Santana also falls into this category).

The Fabulous Thunderbird's.
