Princess Auto carries them sometimes, and when they do, they're about a grand. I was fortunate enough to find this on Kijiji, in an unopened carton, for $500. More than i would normally spend, but some inner force drove me to it. I did not plan the Weasel out until a little later on, and when the spark occurred in my mind... Well- madness ensued.

Now this is exciting! Who knew that after I shoehorned a little diesel engine into a crappy old lawn tractor, Hot Rod Magazine would do a write-up? Nope, not me... But here it is!

Lol now that's crazy. Glad your getting outside recognition. Never knew the Canadian feds were so strict on rat rods, that sucks. Just curious, are traditional hotrods under the same Bs?

Hot Rods are probably slightly easier. We've got some pretty strict laws when it comes to titling, inspections, insurance, and pollution testing. I am just dying to build a full scale rat, but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. I just got through some pretty significant life changes (ie separation and pending divorce) and I'm trying hard to not overcomplicate things for myself. This Weasel build gave me a great focal point. I think my only regret is not entering it in the build-off, here. I won the ATLTF build-off with it, so that was cool.

And I thought the US EPA was bad. Sucks your going through all of that right now, hope it'll get better quickly.
