Default Should I make a carb adapter?

Well, Unless moetrout can find a carb (I really hope to god he does) I am considering making a carb adapter for a 10hp Tecumseh carb to work on my 8hp briggs flatty. Do you think its possible for it to work, especially with the governor?

I take it that you would be machining it. You may have to find smaller jets for the carb since it would be used on a smaller engine than designed, but since its only a small change up you could get away with using the original jets. If you do decide to make an adaptor make sure there is no air leaks.

Anythings possible, governor probably will have to be ghetto rigged a bit. The 8 is an updraft, and im assuming the tech isnt so the linkage will be in completely different places.
