Default 20x10x8 on a 8x7 wheel?

Any issues with a 20x10x8 on a 7” wide 8” diameter wheel? I can’t find any wider wheels that are keyed with bearings...only 4 bolt wheels. I’d like to stay with the keyed wheel. I searched but only found a reference stating that this combo was fine for a lawnmower, but nothing kart specific. Thanks!

Get a 4 bolt to 1" keyed shaft hub and mount the 4 bolt wheels. Not sure what your thing is with keyed wheels but the 4 bolt hubs allow easier changing of wheels and a wider selection.

Do you simply install a locking collar behind the hub (along with the keyway) to position it? I did find 8x8.5 wheels in the 4x4 bolt pattern. My axle is 1”. No step-down, so the axle nut alone won’t retain the hub like a step down axle setup.

20x10-8 are typical Turf savers.. thus they're meant for mower wheels

so checking a ride on mower shop
Quote:
Reifen Turf 20x10.00-8. Aufsitzmäher, Rasentraktor

Technische Details
Dimension 20X10.00-8
Profil Carlisle Turf Saver
Tubeless (TL) / Tube Type (TT) TL
Reifentyp Diagonal
Farbe Schwarz
Aussendurchmesser (mm) 498
Reifenbreite (mm) 257
PR 2
Tragkraft - Einzelbereifung (max. kg) 340
Geschwindigkeit (max km/h) 16
Luftdruck (bar) 0.7
Felgenbreite 7
And for you non german speakers: Felgenbreite is "Rim width", 7 is still seven

So yeah at least the 20x10-8 Carlisle Turf saver is meant to be mounted to a 7" wide rim.

Thank you. I ended up ordering some 8x8.5 wheels. The tires are kenda scorpion 20x10. Should work out well.
