It slides into the trans. Then slide the right side hanger on and bolt to frame.

Slide axle into trans and then slide bearing hanger on the axle, then bolt hanger to frame. Do not forget the spacers. Two bolts and the axle will slide out and in. (it's a Honda)

Never mind the extra hanger you see on the left side. Thats not stock setup but aftermarket stuff.

Do you have the spacers? You need those or it will not work.

Ah yes! The pretty is what costs the big bucks. Turned out great though. Surprised more kart guys don't play with the 250 Ody's. Id guess it would be a huge power increase. Im not exactly sure how far you can take them but i bet you could sqeeze over 30hp out of it without much trouble. They seem to be in a nice price range. I'd like to wrench on a 250 to learn a little about it. I've never actually got to see one in person.

I know that they're next to impossible to find in Canada and the northern states so that's probably why most don't use/have them. most people just drop sled engines into their karts if they want more power, if your careful you can get them dirt cheap. I've grabbed a 300cc for $60, a 440cc for $80 and my most recent and best is a 56hp 500cc beast for $100. When you can get that much power for that cheap, why go any were else? I would love to have a pilot ody though, that's my next project, a pilot clone.

I think I spent about $800 on this one. It had lots of new parts and NOS parts though. The CDI conversion is what killed me. Also the fenders. Thats half the $800 alone.

I sold itto the kid next door. He got a nice ride and does not have to go far to get it worked on. He got a great deal.

If your going to restore a Ody do it to the red ones. The yellow ones just don't hold the value like the red full cage ones.

Best thing about Ody's is the parts are cheap if you shop well on Ebay. All but plastic and CDI parts that is.
