Default Predator engine

Will I need to buy a carb for this engine or does it come with one built in? I know this sounds novice but I am ordering from a American website and I want to take advantage of the free shipping on large order so I need to make sure I have everything required to build my go kart. I am getting the https://gokartsusa.com/3551gokartkit...numwheels.aspx go kart kit and adding a 212cc predator engine and a 13 tooth clutch. What will I need to attach the parts and what other things should I also buy? Thanks in advance.

It looks to be a stock engine... So ya a carb is stock with it...

Let us know what happens with this... I was understanding that the predator engines might be difficult to import.... But more the power to you if that you can...

What's the equivalent 'Princess Auto' engine available to all you north-North American fellas?
Predators are indeed a USA thing. It's just a fancy name.

Kart is the old-standby Azusa go kart frame, still made in California.

They have the usual 208 and 196 clones... also the big blocks...

But really here in Canada.. if you can find it.. it would be the 212 RATO( the sh!t).... That is the original "Predator" as the Pred is a knock off of that for HF tools...

Im a proud owner of one... new in box still.... I think I bought it for 110..... On sale...

no predator is not a knock off.
it's a relabelled rato p210

but the ducar 212 should also be available in canada IIRC.. (kartworks.ca)
that's the one Tillotson based their non inHouse 212s on.

'sid

PS frankly I doubt you'll see a performance difference between a 208 and a 212
in the warm comfort of your kart seat

Ya.. rebranded is a better way of saying it.. I forgot the quotes...
Oddly, I could feel a little difference from the 208 compared to the 196... a little difference....

So what was the final tally on the price? I would reckon the free shipping was intended for the lower 48 (States) and not in any way shape or form intended to include Canada. I could be wrong though.

Maybe you could just buy a piece from here and a piece from there? That go kart frame can be purchased bare from a number of places (here in the good ol' USA). Alone, it might be shipped at a more reasonable-to-you cost.

KART FRAME WITH STEERING HOOP - Part #: 3502 $245.00
https://azusaparts.com/product/kart-...steering-hoop/

The frame is only 48" end to end so if you do buy one, I'd have someone lengthen it like this one:

Like Hellion said this kart will have very little leg room. I think only 29" from seat to pedals. Anyway I hope its a lot of fun.

28" is the spec.

I can't remember if Russ stretched his DuraForce kart or not, but he fits, I know that.

Oh my gawsh! Pearl111 was one inch off?!

You sure it's 28"? I mean you've been wrong before....
You do know the seat position is adjustable somewhat, right? It slides.

No one really fits a go kart it's just that the Azusa is a bit abnormally small in the grand scheme of things.

I am not sure if it has been mentioned because I don't have time to read all the replies, but just remember that this kit is VERY small, and you might have to lengthen in

I'll measure my karts leg room. It's a carter kids kart converted into a drifter that I somehow fit all 6'2" of me, in.

Ehh, 1 1/2" is not a big deal.
As mentioned above the seat is adjustable, I forgot that at first.
The message is the same: It's small!

I say it's 30 inches. Who's with me?!

It was a big deal to you, my dear JT, but does that 1.5" really matter? Who wants to help me beat this dead horse to death?

LOL!
