Default Go Kart advise for the Resistance (X-wing fighter)

This forum may have right technical expertise to advise axle/drive system. Really appreciate any help/input

Short story: need to transition from 14mm keyed shaft to 8" driving wheel. Found this option that can be then attached to a wheel but is there an easier way?

Longer story: Building 25' X-wing fighter to raise money for a school STEM program. Planning to use Groschopp motor and gear reducer as a drive mechanism (two in place of rear landing gears). Rough drawing attached. It has 14mm keyed shaft and need to transition to an 8" (or even 6") pneumatic wheel. What is the best way to do this (most efficient and cheapest)? I have HF metal lathe and basic milling machine but would rather buy something off-the-shelf if there is something easy out there.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Ignore landing gear in the pictures, it didn't work - hence the new design.
