Default Electric Start Switch

Has anyone here wired a switch from the electric start panel on a small engine somewhere other than the panel? How do you do it? I'm also planning to use a different switch, like a start button.

Basically you just run a hot wire from whatever original source you have to one side of the switch and run a wire from the other side of the switch to wherever the original hot wire went to your starter solenoid.
Unless you have a multi wire setup with the small wires.
Then someone else will have to help you.
I don't want to be responsible for frying your wiring!

You should be able to find about 1000 videos on you tube.
People do this to their lawn tractors all the time.

Safety features like seat interlock devices are not for the serious mowers, so people like to rewire the whole thing.
