Attaching a sprocket to a shaft that is fat on both ends.
I am new to the forum. I am trying to attach a sprocket to a shaft that necks down in the middle. This is an unusual shaft on a snowmobile. Each end of the shaft is about 0.97" inch but the middle is about 0.90". Here is a video to help describe the shaft

Nah, it's cool. What do you mean by 'necks down the middle'? Do you mean a keyway? FYI that would be a notch in the shaft.

Ahh yamaha eh? You could cut the sprocket in half and weld it on...best bet would be to machine the shaft or use the original chaincase/sprockets.

Yeah. I would like to attach a sprocket to the thinner section. Where would I find a split sprocket hub and a sprocket to match?
