Default Need to get rear wheels off

Need some advice. I took the nuts off of the rear wheels (one of them took 2 cheater bars to get off). Im just sprayed PB Blaster on both sides of both wheels. Why dont the wheels just pull out & off? What do I need to do?

Pull harder. If the nuts were that rusted on, the wheels ain't just gonna slide off.

Also make sure the tires don't have air in them. It won't make the wheel come off easier, but you also won't accidentally explode a tire in your face while trying.

You take the fun out of everything!

Seriously, good point.
While a good portion of any kart project is its potential to blow up in your face, actually having it happen isn't much fun.

Soak them again with your PB Blaster then try tapping them inward then outward. Kart must have sat for a while. Throw a rag or towel over the wheels to prevent marking them up then firmly tap the wheels each way while rotating them, or use a rubber mallet. Hammer toward the frame then hammer away from the frame, back and forth. Once you get them off, clean up the axle and inside the wheel hubs if possible with emery cloth then apply a thin layer of grease to prevent further rusting. You may end up needing a puller or hydraulic ram but not likely.

And do any hammering on the hub part of the wheel next to the shaft. Hitting it anywhere else will bend it.
