Default Confused on axle?

I am a newb at the world of go karts but good with engines and ect. But what confuses me the most is how to assemble the rear axle on a go kart welding it and everything.
When I looked on YouTube on how to build a go kart the rear axle and the frame were attached through a hanger or bearings? But when I looked for them on google or eBay it showed something different. If you could help me on a scenario of a setup welding it and everything step by step gratify appreciated
Also if you could include abought sprocket mounting to rear axle and brake
Thx

If you do a search or take a look in the project log and gallery you will find numerous posts that can help you out with an axle setup.

Hangers or bearings are the standard way of mounting live axles. You might have been looking at pics of dead axles
