I have always thought the same sort of, until I did some fab work on a project.

The thing with restoring is that the frame/shape/etc is already there, and you just have to clean/repair/replace a part(s). Some guys here start from scratch, and have to get everything measured, lined up, and assembled correctly, rather than just replacing/re-doing old/worn out parts.

They both require work, but I think that the guys who completely build stuff have a little more work cut out for them heck, even ordering/buying parts for a new build would be a process...order this, this, and this, only to realize you forgot that and have to wait until you get it to do anything else.
