I agree. It is frustrating when someone asks for help and you have to now try and visualize what they are talking about.

Not quite.
I feel a compelling need to expand on this a bit. There's not much that grinds my gears harder than a person who asks for help, yet will not lift a finger to help you help them. You see, troubleshooting and problem solving works like this: I'm gonna need you to answer a few questions maybe I need a model number, or sprocket count. Maybe I need you to perform a test and publish the results in order to proceed with the troubleshooting. Yet so many times, I have seen excuses why the user can't (won't) do the test, count the teeth, whatever. So it's like this:

You ask me to put forth effort to sort you out, yet you won't put forth any effort in return. Seem fair?

And for what its worth, that effort I expect INCLUDES taking the time to type more-or-less coherent sentences in a language that at least RESEMBLES English. And before you say it- the offenders are NOT those using English as a second language. They tend to do very well, and certainly have a legitimate excuse for spelling and grammatical errors.

Let me maybe just try answer this guy here. Have a look to see that your brake cables are connected to the pedal and to the brakes. Make sure that they can move freely when the pedal is pressed. If the cable doesn't move freely, find out where it is sticking and lubricate/fix the problem. Make sure that your pedal has a return spring on it so that when you stop pressing it, it jumps back up again

for the new guys who missed this. i am NOT even going to reply to any threads where requests for pics are going unanswered. helping folks without pictures is like trying to help my grandma wire a computer network over the phone...it's not gonna happen until i can see (for myself) what's going on.

there's some really nice folks here who will go the extra mile for anyone who needs help, and i find it offensive when i see them being treated like service personell who have nothing better to do than hold your non-self-helping hand.
