Default Black Widow American Sportworks - Riding Rough

Black Widow American Sportsworks 3171 engine is riding more rough then usual. Any Suggestions?

Also, can someone remind me what oil to use?

Thanks,
Denny

A lot of these small engines ask for 10W-30 or 30W. But knowing me, someone's probably going to come say I'm wrong. In that case, follow their advice.
As far as running(not riding in the case of the engine) rough, take off the carburetor and either boil it in lemon juice after disassembling it, or use a can of spray carb cleaner and clean it very thoroughly(especially the little passages and channels).

Manual states 10W-30: https://americanlandmaster.com/pdfs/...tri_010518.pdf

The rest of the manuals are here, under 3171 Black Widow:

Sounds like a dirty carburetor and/or the results of using the awful gasoline we have available to us in this 21st century.

I'd avoid gas with ethanol in it at all costs. Don't use it. It's bad news for anything with a carburetor and marginal for everything else. It's kind of like a modern day scam.

I have used this site to pinpoint where to get 100% gasoline:

Change the air and fuel filters too while you're working in that area.
