Yeah- Printing money with an inkjet. .....Found out first hand that is a bad idea- even for a joke.....Turns out that the Secret Service has no sense of humor and it takes $10, 000 and a top attorney to make it go away. .......

Ouch- I'm still paying for that misstep and it's painful to think about. ......

It's when I read things like that, that make me realize just how peaceful a boring lifestyle can be.... That, and I don't have to worry about making any fashion mistakes; the only fashion critic I have to appease is OSHA.....

Ja, I earn my money sitting and typing more or less useful commands
into a not too fancy texteditor (notepad++ to be precise)
digital work, digital money.
(it's easy to do oversea money transactions via paypal these days.. and faster than ANY BWT)
But be sure, THAT is by far the most boring thing to do;
that's exactly why I need to distract myself with some tooling every now and then!

But very true, most of my clothes are rather fashion than tool, I admit that.
One of my cousins works for LVMH, the other for a german fashion label,
I do have fashion critics and I never pass their test

But I'm under the slight impression that we got dragged a little off topic somehow.
So let's just see what Robert has to offer in the end,
because that's what decides colours, pockets, sizes and type of application.

Is yours any different than normal? Mine isn't. I even checked in an "incognito" window.

Since I know from personal experience that I'm one of the worst/ least experienced internet users, I'm forced to ask just what are you talking about?

Apparently the favicon's been changed (the little tire icon on your browser tab) but my browser refuses to accept the fact, and I still see the tire.

OK, now I really prove just how little I know about this internet stuff; for me, that answer might as well been written in some alien species language....

What the are you all talking about?!?!?

In your internet browser, you can have multiple tabs open with different pages open on each tab; to see exactly what I mean, left click on a link (any link, your name will do), choose the "open in new tab" option & carefully watch what happens at the top of the page...

Now, what do you see on the newly opened tab?

favicons can (and will) be cached by the browser...
clear the cache and it'll refresh
(some browsers accept ctrl+f5 for a non-cache refresh of the page, maybe try that first)

OK; Fab, I've never seen any web ~thingy~ like you posted; Doc's post looks a lot more familiar, but as far as I can tell, are we talking about Google or Firefox?

If we are talking about those, then we are talking about the so called "New Advanced Features" that I'll most likely never have access to due to the fact that I live in a dead zone where no one important lives.....

you're very welcome Chris.

Pat,
Any computer browser can, should and will show favicons (that's what they're called)
in one or more locations.

Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera and even InternetExplorer just to name a few;
but if you're on a mobile device,
chances are you do not see any favicon due to the limited screen resolution.

It's nothing "new" nor "advanced" it's been around
for almost 20 years now and it's purely cosmetic

Yeah well- when you're old, nearly everything's new... (and YES, I am including myself in there)

'Sid, while I've used computers as part of my job for over 20 years, I didn't get a personal one shoved down my throat until about ~7, maybe 8 years ago. Apparently, if you didn't have email, you didn't exist.

Those wrong headed individuals have more than proven that the fascination with all this is a waste of my time; when I have an older cousin asking me for advice because she wasn't sure about where to go with her "what ever" internet game, I just tune it out.

Maybe that's why I'm still a machinist......

So you are saying that having a special store card that has to be presented at the start of the transaction at the local supermarket isn't just a problem in my area?
