Some inexpensive parts here to keep a Vanguard V-Twin alive.

These sites have high performance goodies.

A stock cam can be advanced a tooth instead of a 23 hp cam or racing cam. Some heads have desirable aluminum rockes for mild performance, on Ebay frequently.

A few weak points are connecting rod bolts that loosen up, and a spring pin on the cam that works it's way out. Blue and green loctite respectively can be used to remedy those issues.

Weak pushrods and retainers are potential problem areas.

Lots of info, but you have to register at BigBlockCarts.com, very little activity anymore.
