Default Diy gas scooter build

Well I'm at it building a 8 second gas scooter combination between a gokart and a scooter to make the 8 seconds possible . No matter how many times I tell people about math being correct for the 8 second time no one believes me they all laugh .

If you're talking 8 second quarter (1320 ft), that'll be near impossible without a big engine. If you mean 8 second eighth (660 ft), than that would be pretty darn difficult. But an 8 second sixteenth (330 ft) that would be achievable. I mean, I run about a 13 to 14 second sixteenth on a foot powered bicycle. If you mean 8 seconds to top speed, that's about the easiest to do, just run as many jack-shafts as you can fit on it to gear it down as much as possible. If you can reach 100 to 1, than the acceleration to top speed will be nearly instantaneous, though you won't be going much faster than a sleeping slug.

So... we need more info.
For his personal safety, keep this one away from bicycles.
