Default Hello from Southern Oregon!

Hey all, newwwb in the forum here.

Starting my first kart build soon; I picked up a super cheap "Nitrous Psyclone" roller a few days ago. It did come with and old 02 Tecumseh 11hp engine than ran like crap. Here's the only site I could find with info about this model: http://1b200.tripod.com/id1.html

I ordered a Harbor Freight Predator 420 engine that's due to arrive tomorrow. It seems like it should be a fairly easy swap. Of course, every time I think that, something unforeseen comes up

New to karts, but I've thrown more money in to building more custom motorcycles than I'd care to admit.

Here's a pic:

Hope it fits! I had a 10 hp tecumseh with a small bolt pattern. Is the 11 hp bolt pattern the same for the predator?

Actually I think that the HF might fit in the original bolt pattern, however I was going to drill some new holes because the shaft on the HF is about 1/2" longer ... that way I should be able to use the same torque converter setup (with a shaft adapter of course)

You could be swapping out the same engine & still have something unforeseen come up, that's just the way it works

Welcome to the forum & good luck with the swap

Good looking kart!

The user manual on HF site will have the mounting bolt pattern measurements if you have concerns.

Good luck!

The adjustable bolt pattern for the Predator engine (below) made it very appealing. From my measurements, the Tecumseh was about 7.75" x 3.75"
