Well i am technically named after my kart here on the forums. it was my first go kart of course never really had any major help on it exept fixing my wheel hub. Anyway its a ken bar dont know the exact model but i think its a pacesetter it was red originally. Someone painted it blue and did a wonderful job too! Then i got it and it was slightly rusty so i did a touch up with black paint. it used to have a 3.5hp briggs that ran great. Then i sold it and the guy destroyed the poor thing. Did a terrible black rattle can job, cut the frame to fit a 212 hemi, swapped the 41 sprocket for 35 broke, chunks off the manco cast aluminum wheels, busted the front wheel, broke the throttle mechanism, burnt out the brakes and broke the hub more. But he replaced the wheel bearings...
Sorry for the block of text. Heres my plans 5Hp briggs and stratton (have): Cam Strip all the paint off of the engine and clear the bare metal Port polish Raptor 3 con rod Bigger exhaust pipe Frame: Repaint dark metallic blue (color when i got it) Unbend bent parts Fix the cut in the frame Some 5inch or 6 inch slicks all around New wheel hub New brakes Replace just about every bolt And add seat padding Heres current pictures and old pictures

Personally I like your original user title, "broke mechanic". Can't wait to see that thing flash down the street in a blue-and-lime-green streak! (pun intended

I'd keep it green.
That way it's tamper proof. ![]()

I'm guessing thats why most briggs are painted red

Actually I've only got 1 out of 7 briggs that are red! Most of mine are white.
As far as color on the kart the one we had as kids that looked just like yours came to us red, loved the kart, hated the color. |

I like my orange one. Makes it look like a little small-block V8!

All the Briggs I ever seen were black and white except the custom jobs on racing karts...well, maybe I think I came across an occasional burnt orange one like JT has, but d@mn, it was an oldie...the last one I seen like that had a glass fuel bowl on it...those were good setups by the way. If you guys ever get a chance to experience one I highly recommend it. If the fuel bowl picked up trash you could visually see it. It had a drain cock on the bottom of it designed to drain out any water or trash prior to starting the engine or any time you needed to troubleshoot an engine issue. Some aircraft sill use a similar setup called a Gascolator I think. It works great. It allows for easy inspection and service. We can blame the politicians in California. If it wasn't for hackers and sneaky genius type computer-mechanics we actually wouldn't have any of the OBD2 code readers for home use. That wasn't in the original grand plan. Thank goodness for those guys! Anyway...
So does that thing run and drive at all Budget Spunkmeister? That one rim looks busted real bad. I wish I had some spare parts to send you but I really don't have anything that small. Or actually in good shape.

All the rims are busted just 3 of em hold air thats enough for me to go 40mph. And it hasnt caused and wrecks. And that last tire saved me from getting hit harder last time i got hit on the kart.

Just don't do that with a car or motorcycle.

It handles suprisingly well considering one doesnt hold air and ive had that experience with a mini bike already so i understand and yes the ken bar runs and drives fine.

And when the second tire blows out and you end up with concrete in your face don't tell us we didn't warn you. You should fix the tire.

When you see one wheel roll past you you might think otherwise. It went a good 40 feet into tall weeds before it stopped.

Yeah, go buy some new tires.
Tip - Go mow some lawns. Mowing season is almost over, but just today I still made $50 mowing one lawn. That's enough for about 3 tire tubes.
