We like our Circus! As far as exhaust you say your not a fabrcator? who built your bike? surely they can make you a simple exhaust.

I did build my bike and ive built several exhaust. The pipe thats on it is a straight pipe which someone commented on appearing too restrictive?? The pipe has so much air coming out, itll hurt your hand if you place it behind it if you rev with the rear tire off the ground.

Talking

I need to get a pipe bender one day, then i could build fancy exhaust. until then find a curved pipe or cut and weld. primarily why i work with square tubing, easier to work with. I know with 2 strokes exhaust dimensions are critical for performance, not sure on 4 strokes. I hate straight pipes on every other vehicle however on this particular bike it produces a nice sound without being annoying.

You're making my point for me, a larger pipe would not do that...

Have a look at the header pipe (the section bolted to the engine) then have a look at the rest of the pipe (tail pipe); it gets smaller, therefore, creating a restriction; the tail pipe should be larger than the header...

Do the math, that's almost a 10% power gain but, this is not just about power gains, it's about your carb not working efficiently, it can't deliver enough fuel because the exhaust is not escaping from the engine efficiently...

I'm not trying to criticise you or your work, I'm trying to help you...

Talking vegas to laughin run

Well gentlemen, history was made this evening. Im the first human to ever pilot a 420 predator engine under its own power on a 160 mile round trip at highway speeds. Here are a couple pics.

Four cycle engine exhaust should be calculated with the correct information in order to make a pipe that will give an engine it's maximum potential, the design is nothing to guess at. Look at this simple exhaust calculator.

I suspect after last nights long range testing that a vegas to san diego trip is realistic. However last night was no picnic. it was raining and terribly windy. cruising speed was about 65mph with going up on a longer climb about 55mph. Im in desperate need of a windshield. a good shield will increase my speed and take some stress off my body. And better my mpg of course. Im a rock solid believer in equipment engines that are set up for the task. That motor was awesome last night!

And with Prius like mileage.
Just kidding I have to state "I hate those ugly little cars"
Mainly it s the birkinstock wearing ,self rightous, liberal minded, granola munching, cave dwelling, knuckle draggin, hippie a$$ Obama voters with their Coexist bumper stickers that drive Prius'!

Yep. They are the fruits and I guess I sound like a nut. But really I am just a Red meat eating, bible believing, gun toting, proud Amrican. Stuck in Ca addicted to the 335 days of perfect weather.

Uhoh.. bible believing..
All of it, including the UFOs , Aliens and such?
Cool... to me it read like science fiction honestly.. but okay; I won't judge.

And what about the ten commandments.. what about that "NO KILLING" part?
isn't that interfering with that gun toting of yours?
Ah no.. I know... that one single thing is perfectly BS for bible believers.. always was and always will... (very very few exceptions, including all churches worldwide)
The single time god HIMSELF made rules.. those will be optional yeah... NO!

Thank you.
I was differentiating myself from the CA. land of fruits and nuts. But I guess that gets Political. and the rules say no Political discussion either.
I have to say though. I am religious and have strong Political opinions. BUT.... I love the Rule "no politics or religion on this site" It keeps so much crap out of the way. Just imagine what I would say or the comments that would be made next if this was Facebook! Anyway it is only the third time I have found Alex to be WRONG!

Sorry Tony you're perfectly correct.. I forgot.
The edges of those rules are shady, and I totally missed the line.

Sorry chancer, that wasn't meant to offend, the bible is a cool book to read actually
(I hope that much is still allowed to say)
I just wanted to point to some personal highlights of it

So yeah, I was wrong on taking you -barely scratching that topic- as a trigger to make a point, my fault.

'sid

PS invalidity of the point is not to be discussed by the rules we just violated
