I agree. You will be fine here in CA. If you have valid up to date tags from NV. Even if they are expired cops have no point in harassing you cause they cant find you after you go home. What are they gonna do cancel a non existant Ca Drivers lic. I live in San Diego and some weekends you cant swing a dead cat without hitting some clown from AZ coming to see Shamu or the ocean. It would be dumd for the CHP or local cops to run all that tourist money out of town!

Default Carb question

You know, this thread has been a 3 ring circus, however no one has suggested an aftermarket carb for the 420. I asked earlier in a post for suggestions? Anyone??

Walbro or Mikuni might have something that would work. Or I think the 420cc is a Honda gx390 clone(someone correct me if I'm wrong hehe) but you could always buy a genuine Honda carb. .

I think this would work. Kinda expensive though.

Default road trip

Ill make sure when we go to california, to take pics along the route and let you guys know what problems we run into or if it was a quiet trip, concerning engine, chain and or clutch issues. No one has ever drove this far on one of these engines, that i know of. This will be interesting for sure.

Have you checked the spark plug? Its colour will tell you if the mixture is off...

It's one thing to add a high flow air filter so the engine can breathe in but, looking at your exhaust, it appears rather restrictive; a larger exhaust can make a world of difference...

Take a deep breath, now breathe out... through a straw! Effectively, that's what your engine is doing...

The exhaust is a straight pipe with a couple angles on it.

Correct me if im wrong but even a straight pipe is only a minimal hp gain, like .5 horsepower?? not sure im a fabricator not a engine specialist. lol
