Are you talking about a wheel hub?

chain tensioner or suspension? is it a dead axle kart? might be some type of sprocket spacer.

owners manual refers to it as chain adjustment nut, but i cant find anywhere to buy a new one, it is attached to the rear axle and when you turn the bolt it goes against the frame and pulls the wheel back thus tightening the chain. i cant turn the bolt as the threads in the nut have stripped.

If it's just the threads in the nut that have stripped, you should just get a new M6-1.0 nut.
