Are you talking about a wheel hub?

nope, pulls the wheel back and keeps the chain tight

chain tensioner or suspension? is it a dead axle kart? might be some type of sprocket spacer.

owners manual refers to it as chain adjustment nut, but i cant find anywhere to buy a new one, it is attached to the rear axle and when you turn the bolt it goes against the frame and pulls the wheel back thus tightening the chain. i cant turn the bolt as the threads in the nut have stripped.

If it's just the threads in the nut that have stripped, you should just get a new M6-1.0 nut.

this happened to me. i just went to the hardware store and bought some eye bolts. they fit alright. i also got thicker ones so that they wont strip like the old 10mm ones

thx for the ideas and info on the nut. is the piece thats bent an orderable part? the bolt tightens on one side but pulls itself between the bracket and the frame. i need one that is straight
