Default hello all, I'm wondering about a frame I was given

Hello all,
I was given a go kart frame and I am wondering if you might be able to help me identify it. I would like to put it together and surprise the boys with it.

Thank you happy karting

You're not gonna get much traffic or anyone noticing your inquiry, dude, because this subforum is for Introductions and not go kart or tech questions.

But I'll bite because I'm bored. That's a racing kart chassis, buddy. Made for oval tracks and turning left (because of the offset frame).

Otherwise, I have no idea. Look for a manufacturer name or a serial number stamped into the frame. Might be hiding in a protected area, under, over or in between frame members, or obscured by layers of paint.

I'd say it's a Coyote Oval Rocket.. (199x ish)
but I can't tell for sure I don't care too much about oval karts at all (not enough to remember any in detail)

send a pic over to coyotekart@gmail.com
they can identify their karts I bet and/or help you verifying it with a serialnumber [and where you should look for one]

Thanks for helping out.
I contacted coyote and they said it was not one of their karts. Do you have any other suggestions? I looked all over the frame and could not find a number on it. It appears the paint may by the original paint.
Is there a pic I could take that would make it easier to identify?

Thank you

I'm sorry, I can't help you with that.
race kart chassis have very few distinct features..
and even karts I care about are very hard if not impossible to identify
without a proper reference image.
And kart pics on the web are ALL CRAP, most do not even show any of the chassis
but hide it behind some generic plastic fairings and sidepods.
Very little details are visible..

same with coyote btw..
the single pic of an oval rocket I found was thumbnail sized and in an angle that made it hard to tell it apart from your kart (hence my comment above)

And not knowing about oval kart mfgs
(really I don't care much about a kart that's only really good in running in CCW circles)
the few I remembered I checked w/o any success

Phantom has a nice pic of possible serial number locations:

Name:	SERIAL-NUMBER-2.jpg
Views:	0
Size:	29.2 KB
ID:	107629
And while I'm quite certain it's no phantom chassis..
it's still the same locations for most mfgs I can think of.

I'm sorry..

All I could tell you is to search for
google images for "oval kart chassis" or "offset kart chassis"
and compare the results to your kart..
