Default Jiangdong Engine performance upgrade questions

I'm sure it has been discussed but I cannot find much information on this specific engine.
I bought a trailmaster super traxx 200 and it's a blast.to drive, but as with anything it needs a bit more power.
It came with a Jiangdong or Jiang Dong JF200 196cc 6.5hp engine.
I can't find much on these engines aside from them being generator engines used and produced in China.

What I basically want to know is if the generic 6.5hp clone parts sold on gopowersports, bmikarts and eBay such as what's made for the predator, lifan, duromax etc engines will work with this engine.

I know it's a touchy subject but I'm tempted to remove the governor to add more power, but also am looking for a basic intake and exhaust. Also would possibly pull the head to do porting/polishing etc, but any performance info/parts that will work would be great.

Also if possible the best suggested jetting etc for the mods listed would be great, would save me alot of time.

I'm not looking to go to super crazy until I find out how reliable the drivetrain is on this tracked kart. For now it will basically pull me (160lbs) up 20-30* hills, but sometimes I can hear the engine bogging down low enough to start causing the clutch to slip.

Any info on this engine and or performance upgrades I could use would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some basic stuff that can be done...
You can mod the gov position, to allow a higher rev, typically about ~5k without getting into a new con rod on stock springs...

That's a very good guide and will help me, but do the aftermarket clone parts for the predator, lifan, duromax etc 6.5hp fit on my jiangdong 196cc engine?

Also how do you mod the governor position? The link states how to remove, but not how to modify.

And thanks EZCOME-EZGO, there are more pics on the Mario Kart I built in a thread in the General Discussion section.

Ya, sorry not in the link... There is a YouTube vid that explains getting more revs from the motor...
Off hand I have no idea what is completely compatible, aside from actually measuring, most are about the same... Almost all have the same external compatibility, ie. stud widths for carb and exhaust... But measure yours to be sure.

But all this kinda depends on how extensive you want to get and of course how much money you want to throw at it....

stage 1 kit would work just fine.

I would venture to say this is a true clone so if I were to bet, id say any HONDA GX200, or BOX STOCK CLONE engine parts would work.

When you start looking at the internals of clones/predators/kohlers they have small differences, valve size, crank size, bore, stroke, valve stem size, cams etc.... so, as it has been said before, measuring will be your best bet (but im leaning towards honda gx200/clone compatibility, and predator/kohler INCOMPATIBILITY)

Yep, 6.5 HP clone parts, 196cc clone parts, or Honda gx200 parts will fit.
Not all Predator Parts will fit, but Chinese clone parts will.

I was mainly looking for what was the same with exhaust flange and intake pod filter adaptor, as well as possible head gasket (to change when porting and polishing etc). But if I have to measure to be certain, than that's what I'll have to do.

Thinner head gasket for boost in compression.

Air filter adapter

Exhaust
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-GX160...-/191156975565

Anything that says gx200, BSP, or Clone will work on your engine.

Whatever comes in the stage 1 kit is going to work well. Usually is an intake adapter, choke lever bracket, exhaust, and a jet.

Best way is to do a plug test...
Sadly once again(I'm on my phone) I don't have a link handy, but do a search on spark plug test for the correct jetting...
I think I ended up drilling mine to a .037 ...

I was going to say 0.037"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/037-Honda-G....c100677.m4598

GPS kit comes with a 0.038"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/038-Honda-G....c100677.m4598

The OMB kit comes with 0.036" and 0.037".
https://www.ebay.com/itm/036-Honda-G...lXoHXv&vxp=mtr

Kits come with jets ranging 0.036" to 0.038".

Hit the one in the middle.

Worth it to buy the engine or performance kit?
I'm sure someone here can answer that.

It was somewhat pricey, I actually purchased plans off the interwebs to fab my own, which was much larger, but decided to give the traxx 200 a try. I have only driven it a few short times due to it being -5* to 10* here in Pennsylvania recently.

It seems to be built ok for something from China, metal on first few oil changes, alight fender shipping crate damage, pretty much the normal for Chinese kart shipped cross the world.
I weigh 160lbs and it seems decent carrying me up hills through 6-8" of snow.
The only thing I do not like is the center track rollers don't have suspension to contour around stuff while riding over it like a normal tank.
It is very stable though, I couldn't roll it if I tried. Its an all or nothing speed also with a centrifugal style clutch basically.
It uses 2 brake master cylinders to apply pressure to the 2 separate disk rotors on 2 separate axles in the back to turn.

I got mine thru familygokarts for $1750 shipped, which is the cheapest I could find.

Probably post up some riding vids soon if anyone is interested.
