Default Mikuni carb Help

I have a Mikuni 22mil carb i bought from NR racing, I put it on my honda gx200 .Mods are cam heavier valve springs, advance timing 4 degrees longer rod, slight ported and polished and alum flywheel . ive search the forum for help look at manual for the carb i just cant seem to get it right. it idles good and but seems sluggish off idle and spits and sputters back fires on wide open. i was looking in the throat of carb while giving it full throttle and it was like it could not use all the fuel coming up. it has stock jets in the carb now tried the recommended set up and it was about the same. IS my float not set right? I really am unsure of how to set the float the manual i don't understand it. Thanks for the help!!

Have you tried adjusting the air mix screw? Turn all the way in(NOT TIGHT) till it seats. Then back off 1 &1/2 turns as a good base line.

Try firemanjims reply. But if is back firing at wide open throttle, sounds like a timming issue. I would contact NR, give them all the mods done to the engine and see what they have to say.

Go to Mikuni American Corp. Click on tuning guide and look at back firing thru carb.
