First thing first I have this throttle plate on my Predator 420.
https://www.gopowersports.com/arc-to...r-301cc-420cc/ Second, I am not using it for the throttle as I have a Mikuni on there but just really for looks and I wanted to mount a pulse pump to it. The problem I have is that the tank (custom frame and tank) is just a tad too close to the engine and a pulse pump will not fit. Does anyone know of a throttle plate, or something for the top of the engine that will sit about an inch or so lower on the engine so that I can mount the pulse pump? Thanks. |

show us a pic of it mounted
but: you can make your own top plate... get a piece of aluminium plate, lay it flat over the tank mounting tabs drill to firmly locate it, bend what you need to have bent, cut what needs to be cut; be done. and sure you can also use steel if you like ![]() Since you need no throttle lever clearances you can have it follow the engines back spine 'sid PS I'd cut the tank tabs and skip the top plate tbh.. but that's just me

Normally I would totally make my own plate from spare steel I have laying around, but since my wife and I just moved to this property I have not had a chance to set up my work area and I kind of get impatient when it comes to toys
![]() Anywho here is the current plate and also my super duper professional drawing of what I was thinking of it looking like. While the idea of no plate is good I just prefer the looks of having something on there to cover the top of the engine, just personal preference. While I am very impatient and ready to start assembling this project I may just have to put the brakes and and wait until I can set up my work area ![]() |
