Default Changing sprocket size or swap to torque converter?

Predator 212 stock max rpm 3600?
18Ē tires
10t drive sprocket and 60t driven

Manco Intruder chassis and Iím about 220lbs. Iíve drove it around but it seems under powered or struggling. Playing with the drive ratio calculator looks like I need about an 80 tooth driven sprocket to achieve a 24mph max speed. Iím not looking for top speed only something that will have plenty of takeoff for a flat backyard. Iíve found an 80t #40 sprocket with a 6 hole 5 1/4 bolt pattern to use on the axle hub but itís aluminum and $84. An eBay torque converter is $60. While Iíd sway towards the simple solution itís a little more $$. Will an 80t sprocket work and be suffient?

If the torque converter fits, wear it.
And since the TC has a 5/8" jackshaft, you can use a smaller than 10T sprocket.
If it were me, I'd use the eBay TC with an 8T sprocket.
Keep the 60T sprocket and you'll have a 7.5 :1 sprocket ratio.
In lowest gear, 20 :1 gear ratio.
In highest gear, 6.75 :1 gear ratio.
~28.5 mph at 3600 RPM.
