Default New to DIY gokarts

I signed up a while ago but havent done much yet. Heres my kart. I started building it when i was 12 (im 15 now) and had it moving several months later. It has a 6.5 hp engine, 1:3 gear ratio, Drum brakes. I think it does at least 35 mph, although ive never actually measured. I working on adding some new framing to get it ready for some off-roading next summer. Its got a custom exhaust that sounds awsome. There are weights on the front to help with the turning.

1:3 ratio? I don't think so. What size (# of teeth) sprockets do u have?

That would be a 3.33:1 ratio, hows the acceleration?

Its surprisingly good. Flooring it can really push you back in the seat. Its probably eating up my clutch though.
