long stretches are indeed also asking for top speed of course,
but that's not how races are won most of the time
what wins a race is "average speed" and to keep that up quick acceleration is more important!

time four to five laps on the race track with your current setup,
add four teeth to the axle sprocket and do the same.
Then decide.

Anyways.. if you want to gain speed, you will have to modify the engine further..
(billet conrod, flywheel; stiffer valve springs, maybe a new camshaft)
7200 - 7500 rpm should be doable without spending a fortune

And since you have a true Honda clone, you can just install parts made for a Honda gx200
which luckily are plenty.
