Probably not wrong...I have no personal experience with the dual motor setup and it's my same fear but I think some flavor of Functional Artists Dingo had duals setup successfully.

It's wired differently, not just a different controller. I went through the same thing with the 2000w. Knew it wouldn't be anything like the kid's 9hp race engine but that thing had no bottom end...

I think it'll be tough. We're moving about 200lbs of kart + driver at about that pace on slopes. It hits 35mph on flat pavement. If we geared down to a 25mph top speed, it'd likely haul another...

I don't really plan on using it in the long term but I stupidly wired the shunt on the positive side of the load...

Really happy with 27mph and enough torque to do donuts on 13" turf savers!

Batteries did well. I didn't charge them...

I'm not an expert on this but I would think every component is rated for 5mph. Doesn't seem like the best idea.

That's not to say you couldn't repurpose some components.

A nice 90+ tooth axle sprocket with your 10 tooth motor sprocket will take you up hills in grass for sure. It probably won't be terribly fast, though.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on temps during testing. Trying to balance abrasion/damage protection with short wiring runs. The foam could come out and box be vented if it gets warm.
