Welcome to the forum. Yes, you can definitely use a wet clutch. They are pretty indestructible. Just make sure the clutch is full of oil

Welcome. It could be that the TC just needs a good servicing. Post some pics so that we can see what you are working with. Have you got the brass bushing that the TC belt rides on?
