Then why call them torque converter? I know a torque converter in a car multiply torque made by the engine. Where a CVT is an indefinite ratio transmission.

The diff is from a peerless transaxl. So its relatively small. Still figuring out the bearings as there a bit of side load. cause the first set to lock up. So I am back to the drawing board.

most of the atvs in the salvage yard are rear wheel drive. they look as engine problems sent them there. The four stroke atvs are 4 wheel drive with the torque converter going to the transfer case....

It would be off a Polaris 2x4 250. would it be better to get one out of a four stroke. as it would work in the range needed. the springs would just need to be changed on the engine side of the torque...

Is it possible to convert an ATV torque converter for use on a go kart. Machining it would not be a problem if needed.

But would the springs need to be changed if its from a 2 stoke as it engage...
