Maybe an after market billet oil fill plug with a seal would work better. Teflon tape maybe but donít get it inside the motor. Slant mounted motors seem to slowly seap and itís hard to stop.

Pics would help. You can buy a live axle kit with new bearing hangers and that would allow you to upgrade to a 1” axle. Not sure if your model Carter Bros Kart is a live axle or a dead axle.

You shouldnít loosen tight bolts with a torque wrench. Use a regular wrench to loosen and use the torque wrench to tighten.
