The first thing I would probably do is take the carb off and give it a good clean. You say you adjusted it? What did you do? I am assuming it is a GY6 type engine?

If you don't want to do any big mods, I suggest just going with all the original parts that the kart came with. Then you won't have any problems at all

That is the first thing I noticed too. I had to look o see if there was a supporting pillow block on that shaft extension. That engine puts out a lot of torque and if the shaft isn't supported things...

There are several places you can look at for kart related stuff. There is BMIKarts and Gopowersports. Both have online stores and I know that Gopowersports are super helpful if you give them a call....
